Try canoeing, kayaking and SUP in Axmar Bruk

We warmly welcome you to our trial days for canoe, kayak and SUP! On July 8th and July 29th, you have the opportunity to try paddling these fantastic water sports activities for free. Regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced paddler, this is the perfect opportunity to explore the water with other beginners and enjoy nature in the beautiful Axmar Bruks harbour.

But what exactly is a SUP? SUP stands for Stand-Up Paddleboarding and is a popular water sport that has become increasingly popular in recent years. It involves standing up on a stable board and using a paddle to move across the water. SUP offers a unique experience, where you can enjoy the tranquility of the lake or challenge yourself with waves on the sea. It is a fun and versatile activity suitable for all ages and skill levels.

To paddle with a SUP, you need to follow some basic steps:

Stand on the board: Place your feet parallel on the board with your heels in line with the center. Make sure you have balance and stand firmly.
Hold the paddle correctly: Grasp the paddle with both hands, placing them slightly wider than shoulder width, and hold the paddle in front of you.
Lower the paddle: To move forward, lower the paddle in the water in front of you and pull it back along the side of the board.
Repeat and switch sides: Repeat the movement by pulling the paddle through the water on one side, then switch to the other side to continue forward.
Come and experience the joy of canoeing, kayaking and SUP during our trial days. Experienced instructors are on hand to give you basic technique instruction and safety advice. All equipment will be provided on site.

Note! Try on applies to shorter trips within sight of the port.
